60 Day Body and Mind Reset Challenge
It's Wednesday and it's blog time and I am so so happy to be back and writing! It's been waaayy to long. Today is going to be a different type of blog post because it's going to be health and fitness focused and relatively short and sweet (I hope you guys like it but if not, SOZ mate.)
Some background info on me:
- I've been an athlete for most of my life. I started with Cross Country and Track and moved into Crossfit a few years later.
- I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition called POTS in August of 2015.
- I love food. I love healthy, whole food but I also love greasy, fatty food that holds little to no nutritional value (the struggle is real).
Two weeks ago College went on Autumn break and my eating habits got so out of control. I ended up feeling bloated, tired, achy, and just blah the entire week after break. I decided to challenge myself physically and mentally for the next 60 days in order to reset my body and that's what this whole blog post is about.
So for the next 60 days I've decided that I am going to eliminate processed sugar, grains, sweets, dairy, and soda. On top of that, I also decided to challenge myself mentally by getting up at 5:30 am and do 20 minutes of stretching with RomWod, work myself up to 20 minutes of meditation, and then at least 20 minutes of devotion and Bible study time.
When this goes live on Wednesday, I will have finished two full days of this 60 day challenge. That means two whole days of early wake up times, focused concentration, and whole, healthy eating. As of right now (in the middle of day 2) I feel great but I'm hungry and I'm figuring out the balance between eating enough but not too much. It's going to be such a fun journey full of cranky moments and lots of whinging but I know that at the end of the 60 days, I will feel so much better!!
P.S (If you want to join or challenge yourself physically or mentally, I would love to support you and do it with you! Send us a DM or email us with your challenge.)
