One year later.

April 18, 2017.
Wow, what a day. April 18th became a day that is now burned in my little box of happy memories. April 18th is the day that I got accepted into Hillsong College on the tail end of Easter weekend, or what I called #EasterCelebrations in 2017.
Instagram Post Recap:
"GOD IS SO FREAKING AWESOME!!! (you know it's about to be a pretty great post when it starts like that!) _______ This weekend was pretty rough man ... There were some hiccups (or what I thought were hiccups) in my application to Hillsong College. I woke up this morning waiting to hear back from the lady I was emailing with but all day there was nothing. To be completely honest, I was expecting an email that said, "Thank you for your application but after careful consideration, you will not be a good fit for our campus." A whole day at school passed by, got home and had a snack, went to workout - nothing. On the ride home from the gym my phone buzzes. It's an email from Hillsong ... I open it and ... I GOT IN!! I was accepted into the college that I have felt called to since before I was in high school! _______ This is all to say, when you feel discouraged, like God's on the other line with you on mute, or he just does not care what you want, remember this: He is listening. He cares for you so much and he has a plan for your life! #EasterCelebrations #fromtheheartofbela "
I can still remember this day like it was yesterday and it's so crazy to look back on the past year and see what's been done in and through my life. April 18th was a normal Tuesday. I was actually heading home after a gym sesh when my phone buzzed with an email from College. But that day became the day that I was able to take one step closer to what I felt God calling me to. A lot has happened, personally, professionally, spiritually. The collage of pictures I put together is a snippet, a snapshot of my life from April 18th - January 17th (almost exactly 9 months). From the friends that I miss so dearly to the food I now crave every day to coffee dates with pals at our usge (abbreviation for usual for those that are not familiar with California slang. you're welcome) cafes. T;his collage is home, the home I left to move to Australia to follow my dream and purpose.
The first picture is the day that I got my acceptance email. The last picture is my last day with my Momma. The collage starts with tears and the collage ends with tears.
I am beyond thankful for the memories made and forever stored in my heart. I am thankful for the people, friends and family, that went out of their way to encourage and love on me. The past year has been fan flipping tastic.
And to the adventures I've had since being here (almost three months!!): cheers. Thank you Australia for being so kind and to the Aussies of the world and in College who have such a big heart: it doesn't go unnoticed.
Super stoked for future adventures and more friendships and constant growing. Thank you Jesus and Hillsong for allowing me the opportunity to follow your will and live out my dream.
